

The Times Square Alliance with Starr Whitehouse Landscape Architects and Planners held a
charette to gather designers and their ideas for Times Square. Materials were gathered
and diagrams were created to explain the current conditions of Times Square. This information
was compiled them into the Times Square: The Second Century Workshop Brief, which aided
the designers in their understanding of and solution to the the problems.
The New York ASLA awarded this project a
Merit Award in the category of Planning, Analysis,
Research, and Communication.
